The Love We Never Had

Synopsis:
Lucy meets Ryan at a time when she’s broken, and he feels like something steady to hold onto. At first, it’s easy. Light. Almost perfect. They talk, they connect, they fill in each other’s quiet spaces. But slowly, things shift. Not all at once. Just small changes. Distance. Frustration. Words that don’t sound like him anymore. Ryan starts searching for answers in all the wrong places, trying to figure out who he’s supposed to be, and somewhere in that, he loses himself.

Character Information:
Lucy (Female. Play Age early 20s) Works in a coffee shop. She is passionate about dancing and uses it as a way to feel free and express herself. She is kind, emotional, and supportive, but can also feel insecure at times. After losing her mother, she moves to London to start fresh and rebuild her life.
​
Ryan (Male. Early 20s) works in his dad’s garage. He enjoys photography, especially taking photos at skate parks. He is quiet and unsure of himself, and often struggles with his confidence and identity. Over time, he becomes more withdrawn, frustrated, and influenced by negative ideas around him.

Chickens

Synopsis:
Set in a Northern seaside town. "CHICKENS" tells the story of two gay teenage boys seeking to escape their dreary lives by accepting the cash advances of dirty old men. Things go wrong, when a chance encounter with one man threatens to destroy their friendship and futures.
​
Character Information:
MELVIN - (Male, play age: early 20's) A naive and easily-led 16-year-old who doesn't have a clue who he is.
​
STEVIE - (Male, play age: early 20's) A street-smart 17-year-old whose cocky arrogance will be his downfall.
​
MELVIN'S MUM - (Female, play age: Mid to late 30's) An over-protective, but not old fashioned, mother.
​
MAN - (Male, play age: Late 20's to early 30's) A well-spoken and charmingly seductive con-man.
