2020: End of Year Festival.

2020 is a year many of us will not forget anytime soon and for many different reasons. The global Covid-19 pandemic has been a significant event across the globe. But the pandemic isn't the only important event that has happened this year - BLM protest, the US Elections, the awareness towards government oppression are examples of just some of the events also have occurred this year.

Below are the details for all commissions that were a part of the festival. This includes the title of each piece, the writer and performers too. 

Details of Each Individual Show

Civilised Worms

Writer: Christopher Schaunig.

Description: Civilised Worms events a day in lockdown that takes a dramatic change that causes a significant realisation.

This is How I Feel, I Think

Writer: Bernadett Szabo.

Performer[s]: Georgi Mckie, Richard Howell, Jessica Townsley, Lily Burke and Zoë Maunder.

Description: This is How I Feel, I Think is a piece that explores the impact 2020 has had on mental health and highlights the importance of seeking help to begin the process of treatment.

Writer: Hannah MacDonald.

Description: Notification timelines the significant events of the year whilst also addressing the impact social media has had during this time too.

Burn Your Bridges

Writer: Anna Conway.

Description: Burn Your Bridges looks at the physical construction of bridges around the world and incorporates a personal reflection.

Numb

Writer: Anna Pellegrini.

Description: Numb timelines the journey of a couple and the impact lockdown has on their relationship.

Skin Tight

Writer: Georgia Hewkin.

Description: Skin Tight explores what it means to be black in 2020 and explores the significant impact the BLM movement has had this year.

Description: Child explores the responsibility parents, older siblings and guardians have towards educating their child(ren) of the realness of the world.

Between You and Us
